"I have to visit the Amazon jungle for so long that it does not quite feel real, when we booked our 4 day trip we have dreamed us for a travel company that specializes in the field of Juma Lake, as it should be full of Wild animals worked. We have decidedIguana on tours and got really lucky, as our guide, Alan, was very well informed about everything, including the birds. We were struck by the hotel to the harbor in an old minibus Volksie. They are everywhere in Manaus, each operator seems to have one, but unlike those in the surf towns are all painted white! First we had to transfer to another country for the river to cross. We passed the "Meeting of the Waters", where the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimones flow side by side and do not meet. Here we sawour first freshwater dolphins because they like this area because fish school between the two rivers. In another Volksie past and a lot of deforested land (farms, etc.) to the boat that held us to the lodge. This trip was over and then down river channels and there was an abundance of birds.
