"We arrived in Chiang Rai by bus and were at the bus terminal, where the nights are markets dropped from there we walked through the city towards an area where there is a cluster of guest houses, including Buan Bua, theproved to be a little uncomfortable. Instead, we found the new Orchid Guest House. The staff could not be more welcoming and the room was great. But all the screws on the inside of the door and windows, and the places selling padlocks on the way there was a little confusing. If this is done, we let out a huge pile of laundry on the road then off to explore the city. There is a small but friendly place. We visited the Hill Tribe Museum and Education Center, in the third Stock wasby an ugly concrete building. The museum had a large display, focusing heavily on the history of opium in the Golden Triangle region, but also gave plenty of information about the different hill tribes near Chiang Rai, where they are, their cultural differences and so on came. It was fascinating. The ground floor has a cafe / restaurant called Cabbages & Condoms, where profits for the HIV / AIDS education used.
