A group of Catholics together Tuesday expressed emphasized support for the passage of the reproductive health (RH) Law and disagreement with the bishops' rabid opposition to him. Dr. Edelina de la Paz, the national coordinator of Catholics for RH-motion, that her group was not againstChurch. "We remain ... the Catholic church, but we reject strict, the bishops attitude to family planning and reproductive health," De la Paz, adding that her group was associated with a nationwide membership, "pro-life, not pro abortion. "De la Paz, together with like-minded supporters, held a press conference in Quezon City, known for RH activist Carlos Celdran, who was arrested and jailed for picketing an ecumenical service last week in Manila Cathedral. They said aFundraising project Celdran's right to intervene was in progress. Celdran, a popular tour guide in Intramuros, Manila, has "hurt religious feelings" with indicted and released on bail. "[The RH bill] is a question of law, health and dignity, and access to health services in a better economic status outcome," said de la Paz in a statement.
